Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 October, and again Friday 1, Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 November, the highly anticipated appointment with VOLTERRAGUSTO (www.volterragusto.com) is renewed, now an obligatory event for all lovers of Tuscan food and wine excellences.

The heart of the event is the XXII edition of the WHITE TRUFFLE EXHIBITION AND TYPICAL PRODUCTS OF THE HIGH VALDICECINA that from 10 to 20 will celebrate His Majesty the truffle, flanked by the many producers who will propose a gourmet journey - from cheeses to cured meats, passing through the wine, sweets, chocolate and much more - among the flavors of the territory and beyond.

"THE GIFTS OF NATURE: WATER, LANDSCAPE, FOOD" is the theme chosen this year by the organizers, developed through moments that will unite the local gastronomic riches - the truffle above all - with the unique historical and architectural heritage that Volterra is able to to offer: among the initiatives during the event there are, for example, visits to generally inaccessible places in the city, out-of-town itineraries among hills and postcard views, and again guided tours through the streets of the city “on the way to the waters” to discover a Volterra as mysterious and unusual as ever.

As always full of ideas the calendar of the event, with events that have now become authentic musts such as the PALIO DEI CACI VOLTERRANI along Via Franceschini, a challenge included in the regional register of “historical re-enactments” in collaboration with the Contrade Committee Città di Volterra; the performance of the HISTORICAL GROUP, SBANDIERATORI AND MUSICI CITTÀ DI VOLTERRA; TRUFFLE TOURS to discover where the truffle comes from and how to find it in the company of local truffles and their inseparable hounds; the IV edition of the "DI VIGNA IN VIGNA" CYCLING EXCURSION between the vineyards and the hills of the Volterra area. Without forgetting the delivery of the JARRO PRIZE, a recognition destined every year to those who in the professional field have distinguished themselves in the dissemination of the culture of good food.

For the entire duration of the event it will also be possible to discover and taste the wines of the Volterra area proposed by Fisar, as well as take advantage of the many discounts offered on the entrances of the city museums.
